Missions and values

The mission of the Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle (Film Fund Luxembourg), an official body supervised by the minister responsible for audiovisual affairs and the minister responsible for culture, is to encourage cinematographic and audiovisual creation and to promote the development of the audiovisual production sector in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in particular by means of subsidies, financial aid, grants and awards.

Our missions

To develop and promote the Luxembourg audiovisual industry, its works and its professionals: Support the growth and visibility of the national audiovisual industry by promoting local talent and Luxembourg productions.

Managing the single Selective Financial Assistance (SFA) scheme : administer the funding scheme for majority and minority co-productions, covering a wide range of genres, formats and durations. The scheme aims to encourage diversity and quality in audiovisual works.

Act as a link between all stakeholders: to facilitate communication and collaboration between the various players in the audiovisual sector, while implementing the audiovisual policy defined by the Luxembourg government.

Represent Luxembourg in all European and international initiatives: to act as an ambassador for the Luxembourg audiovisual industry on the international stage, by actively participating in European and international initiatives and projects.

Developing international co-production agreements : negotiate and establish co-production agreements with other countries to strengthen international partnerships and encourage the creation of collaborative audiovisual projects.
