2 calls for projects for audiovisual concepts and formats launched by the Lëtzebuerger Filmfong and RTL
To continue their partnership and encourage the development of audiovisual projects broadcast on the national television channel, the Lëtzebuerger Filmfong and RTL are simultaneously launching two calls for projects aimed at producers, directors, scriptwriters and other professionals in the audiovisual sector in Luxembourg.
The calls concern a transmedia project and/or a web-series project as well as a documentary series. The eligibility criteria and formalities can be consulted at https://www.filmfund.lu/t/documents/appels-a-projets-pour-concepts-et-formats-de-television-avec-rtl . Applications may be submitted until 19 April 2024.
The partnership between RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg and the Lëtzebuerger Filmfong for the development, co-production and/or broadcasting of audiovisual concepts and formats made in Luxembourg dates back to 2011 and has seen the birth of a number of successful series such as Weemseesdet, Come Back, Zëmmer ze verlounen, routwäissgro, Capitani as well as youth programmes such as Kannativi.
The 5 projects supported in 2022 under the last call for projects are currently in development. These 5 projects include the historical crime series "Marginal" written by Frédéric Zeimet, Jonathan Becker and Katia Lanero Zamora, which will start shooting in March 2024 under the direction of director Loïc Tanson (a Samsa Film production).
