The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, held this year from 6 to 11 June, has included 3 Luxembourg projects in its official selection: 2 television films are in competition, namely "Le Petit Nicolas" directed by Armand Boron and co-produced by LuxAnimation and "Le Petit Prince" directed by Pierre-Alain Chartier and co-produced by La Fabrique d'Images. The feature film "The Prodigies - La Nuit des Enfants Roi" directed by Antoine Charreyron and co-produced by LuxAnimation is the 3rd project selected "out of competition".
Running parallel to the Festival, the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) takes place from 8 to 10 June: a must-attend event for professionals in the animation sector. The National Support Fund for Audiovisual Production is present for the tenth consecutive time, with a promotional stand that serves as an umbrella for a dozen Luxembourg production and service companies. This year's programme includes a meeting between Luxembourg professionals and Irish production companies, as well as 'speed dating' meetings between producers and students from the Lycée Technique des Arts et Métiers.
