4 Luxembourg selections at the 76th Venice Film Festival (28 August - 7 September 2019)

La Venice Film Festivalthe world's oldest film festival, has just announced its selection, which includes 4 works from Luxembourg. The documentary film Collective by Alexander Nanau, a Samsa Film co-production with Romania, is in the official selection out of competition, and the feature film The scarecrows by Nouri Bouzid, a Samsa Film co-production with Tunisia and Morocco, is in the official selection out of competition in the "Sconfini". On the VR competitionthe Mostra has selected the immersive work Cosmos within us designed by Tupac Martir and Benjamin Farry, an a_BAHN co-production with the United Kingdom. Note that the interactive virtual reality experience Sublimation by Luxembourg designers Karolina Markiewicz and Pascal Piron will also be represented in Venice. Earlier this year, this project was officially selected by the Venice Biennale as one of the 12 international virtual reality projects of the College Cinema VR Biennial and will incorporate the festival's public facilities. |
