With 6 nominations for 3 co-productions, Luxembourg will be in the spotlight at the Magritte 2023the annual awards for French-speaking Belgian cinema.
Rebel, Where is Anne Frank and L'Ennemi are among the films competing in the following categories:
1) In the " Best Flemish film " :
Rebel co-produced by Jésus Gonzalez (Calach Films) and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
2) In the " Best foreign co-production film " :
Where is Anne Frank co-produced by Jani Thiltges (Samsa Film) and directed by Ari Folman.
3) In the "Best Actress :
Lubna Azabal for Rebel co-produced by Jésus Gonzalez (Calach Films) and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
4) In the "Best actor :
Jérémie Renier for The Enemy co-produced by David Grumbach (Bac Cinéma) and directed by Stephan Streker.

La 12e he Magritte ceremony for Belgian cinema will take place on Saturday 4 March 2023 at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles.
With these new nominations, Luxembourg cinema now has 84 Magritte nominations and has won 22 since 2011.
