66th Berlinale 2016: Xavier Bettel to visit Berlin

Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister in charge of Culture, Communication and the Media, will be visiting Berlin on 15 and 16 February 2016.
At the invitation of Monika Grütters, Minister of State for Culture and the Media of the Federal Republic of Germany, Xavier Bettel will take part in an informal meeting of European Ministers of Culture. This meeting, organised as part of the 66e Berlinale, will focus on an exchange of ideas around "European film in the digital age".
In addition, the Prime Minister will present an honorary award to Liz Mohn, Chairman of Bertelsmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft (BVG), of which RTL Group is the audiovisual subsidiary. The Director General of the German Film Promotion Office (Filmförderunganstalt -FFA), Peter Dinges, and the Director General of the Austrian Film Institute, Roland Teichmann, will also be honoured by the Luxembourg Prime Minister.
Xavier Bettel will also attend the traditional reception organised jointly by the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Berlin and the Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle, bringing together professionals and partners from the audiovisual production sector as well as representatives from the world of culture.
The programme will also include a meeting with Luxembourg producers.
