The 7e edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis was held on Saturday 5 March 2016 at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.

The ceremony - organised by Filmfong and d'Filmakademie - was attended by LL.AA.RR. the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister, Minister for Culture and Minister for Communications and the Media, Guy Arendt, Secretary of State for Culture and Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg.

The director of Filmfong, Guy Daleiden, and the President of the Film Academy, Claude Waringo, are proud to present the winners of the Film Academy votes:

Best animated short film: "THE LIGHT EATER" by Sean Mc Cormack - Fabrique d'Images
Prize for Best Fiction Short Film: QUENOTTES by Pascal Thiébaux and Gil Pinheiro - ZEILT PRODUCTIONS 
Prize for the best technical contribution: Jako RAYBAUT - Image - "ENG NEI ZÄIT".
Prize for best artistic contribution: Luc SCHILTZ - Actor - "ENG NEI ZÄIT
Best Documentary: "BLACK HARVEST" by Jean-Louis Schuller and Sean Clark - ANTEVITA FILMS
Prize for Best Animation Co-Production: "SONG OF THE SEA" by Tomm Moore - MELUSINE PRODUCTIONS
Prize for best fiction co-production: "LE TOUT NOUVEAU TESTAMENT" by Jaco Van Dormael - JULIETTE FILMS
Prize for the best Luxembourg film: "ENG NEI ZÄIT" by Christophe Wagner - SAMSA FILM

As a reminder: The Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis was created in 2003 to reward the best contributions to Luxembourg cinema, to highlight quality works, to encourage cinematographic creation, to promote the development of the film industry in Luxembourg and to draw the public's attention to Luxembourg productions.
