A second film announced in the official selection of the Berlinale and a virtual reality work at the SXSW Festival in the US

La 71e he Berlin International Film Festival continues to announce its selections, today announcing the list of films selected for the Official Competition and for the Berlinale Special.
Feature-length fiction film Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn by Radu Jude - a co-production between Romania, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Croatia - will defend its colours in the Official Competition at the Berlinale 2021.
Luxembourg-based Paul Thiltges Distributions (Paul Thiltges and Adrien Chef), the film's co-producer, worked in partnership with Philophon Studios and Espera Productions to handle the film's image, sound and special effects post-production.
Due to the health crisis, this year's Berlinale will be held in two parts. The competition and market will take place partly online in March, with public screenings later in June. An international jury will see the films in Berlin and award its prizes, while the European Film Market will take place entirely online from 1 June.er to 5 March. The winning films will then be presented to the public from 9 to 20 June as part of a special event.
With Ulja Funk Mission (Samsa Film) and Bad Luck Banging or Loony PornLuxembourg will be represented with two films at this year's Berlinale.
In addition, the interactive virtual reality documentary Under the Skin co-produced by Tarantula Luxembourg (Donato Rotunno) and directed by João Inada was selected for the world-famous South by Southwest (SXSW), festival The American Music, Film and Interactive Arts Festival will be held in Austin from 12 to 20 March (16 to 20 March for the online version).
This co-production between Brazil, Luxembourg, China and Germany made its world premiere at the International Documentary Fim Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) and was selected for its North American premiere at SXSW in the "Virtual Cinema" section.
