Cumulative selections for Luxembourg co-productions

Luxembourg co-productions rack up selections at major international festivals between August and September 2018

Le Toronto International Film Festivalwhich will be held from 6 to 16 September 2018, has also selected three other Luxembourg co-productions: Black 47 by Lance Daly (Samsa Film) and Sibel by Guillaume Giovanetti / Cagla Zencirci (Bidibul Productions) in the "Contemporary World Cinema" category, as well asAngelo by Markus Schleinzer (Amour Fou Luxembourg) in the "Platform" section.

The feature film Third Wedding by David Lambert, also co-produced by Bidibul Productionsis in official competition at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival including the 11^e edition takes place from 21 to 26 August 2018.

Tel Aviv on Fire (Samsa Film), the second feature film by Palestinian director Sameh Zoabi, has also been selected in the Official Competition in the "Orizzionti" category of the 75^e Venice Mostra (29 August to 8 September 2018).

And Markus Schleinzer will be presenting his second feature film Angelo (co-produced by Amour Fou Luxembourg) to 66^e San Sebastian Festival (from 21 to 29 September 2018) in the running for the Coquille d'Or.

Remember that Sibel (Bidibul Productions) won three awards at the 71^e Locarno International Film Festival (from 1^er to 17 August 2018): the Fipriesci Prize of the International Federation of Film Critics, the Ecumenical Prize for the distribution of the film and the second prize in the "Premio Giuria dei giovani" category awarded to the three best directors at the Concorso internazionale.
