BENELUX in the spotlight at FIPADOC - International Documentary Festival

The FIPADOC International Documentary Festival brings together the public and professionals around a selection of exceptional documentaries. This year it takes place from 17 to 23 January in Biarritz, opening the year of major international documentary festivals.
The BENELUX is in the spotlight this year and Luxembourg will be represented in the competitive sections following :
- "Music documentary"(best documentaries in which music is one of the main characters): Monk, Pannonica, an American Story by Jacques Goldstein (co-produced by a_Bahn).
- "Smart" (best digital experiences) : Ex Aequo! by Camille Duvelleroy & Jean-Charles Mbotti Malolo (co-produced by a_Bahn), Wild Cities by Laura Cortes (co-produced by a_Bahn) and Missing Pictures - Episode 2 - The Seven Story Building (co-produced by Wild Fang Films).
In the 2022 selection of this "Focus Benelux"There are also 2 Luxembourg productions by Samsa Film, namely :
California Dreaming by Fabrizio Maltese
Schwaarze Mann, a black man among us by Fränz Hausemer.
During the trade days, pitch sessions, sessions on current trends and the outlook for the sector, workshops, meeting areas and round tables will be organised at the Espace Bellevue. As part of the pitch sessions, the Boxing Stories directed by Alain Tshinza and produced by Wady Films, will be presented to documentary professionals and experts.
Alix Andries, a young student from Luxembourg studying for a BTS in Cinema and Audiovisual Studies at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers, will also be on the 'Histoire d'Europe' jury.
