Blanquita selected for the 79th Venice Film Festival

The feature film BLANQUITA directed by Fernando Guzzoni, was selected for the 79th Venice International Film Festival for its world premiere in competition in the Orizzonti, a section that showcases new talent.
The Venice Mostra or Venice International Film Festival (in Italian: Mostra internazionale d'arte cinematografica di Venezia) will be held from 31 August to 10 September 2022 in the historic Palazzo del Cinema, on the Lungomare Marconi, on Venice Lido, and will be directed by Alberto Barbera. The Mostra is not just for professionals and journalists, and screenings are open to the public.
BLANQUITA is a co-production between Luxembourg (Tarantula Luxembourg), Chile, France and Poland, which tells the story of Blanca (18) living in a home for minors run by the priest Manuel Cura (50). A key witness in a sex scandal involving politicians, Blanca finds herself thrust into the media spotlight by Manuel. She becomes a feminist heroine for some, a scoundrel for others.
The film's special effects (VFX) and colour-grading were carried out in Luxembourg by Espera Productions (Raoul Nadalet and Peter Bernear).
The film will premiere in Venice on 4 September 2022!
