For this 2020 edition, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA) are now offering you access to their content in a new format: Annecy 2020 Online. This edition will be available from 15 to 30 June exclusively online to enable accredited members (Festival and Mifa) to discover the wealth and productivity of the online sector, exchange ideas, network, meet, negotiate and make acquisitions.

At Mifa, the formats usually offered have been redesigned and optimised for maximum benefit. During the Mifa pitchesIn addition to the film screenings, there will be presentations of new animated film projects in development. With the sessions Share WithAt these meetings for buyers and sellers, you can find out what investors need to acquire or co-produce programmes. During the Industry - Territory FocusIn this way, an entire country's industry will be showcased. With the Pitching - Territory FocusThe talents of a country or region will be accessible via a selection of animation projects. Visit Meet the... will be offering meetings dedicated to festival programmers, composers and book publishers. The latest news from the main channels, platforms and professional organisations will be unveiled at the Press conferences. Institutional speeches will be held at the following events Mifa Special Events. Finally, the Mifa Campus*These projects, aimed at young talent, will combine technology, artists' views and behind-the-scenes studio footage...

On the festival side, whether you're an animation fan, amateur, professional or general public, the festival pass gives you unprecedented access to all of the 2020 edition's content, so you can enjoy the best of animation, and will be available throughout Annecy 2020 Online (with the exception of scheduled live shows, which will then be available for replay). This includes all of the official selection (short films (L'officielle, Off-Limits, Perspectives, Jeune public, Fin d'études), feature films (L'officielle and Contrechamp), television and commissioned films and VR works (certain works cannot be made available in full without restriction, so extracts lasting at least ten minutes or short documentaries will be proposed).

To ensure a Luxembourg presence at Mifa, the Film Fund is offering a virtual umbrella and is hosting 9 production companies, 4 animation studios, a post-production/sound company as well as LuxFilmFest, 21 BTS Animation students and 9 Bachelor Animation students.

The shortlist includes two Luxembourg co-productions by Melusine Productions have been chosen to join the WIP Feature programme: Wolfswalkers (Le people Loup) and The Summit of the GodsNicolas and Stéphane Blies (a_BAHN) will be taking part in the Film Lessons with a live Q&A on the subject of sexual violence in animation. Their documentary Zero Impunity (in competition in 2019 in the Contrechamp category) is also included in the special programmes for the 2020 edition. Last but not least, the animated VR project The Dollhouse by Luxembourg's Charlotte Bruneau (a Wild Fang co-production supported by the Luxembourg-Canada incentive) will be pitched as part of the Mifa pitch programme.
