The selections at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival once again give pride of place to Luxembourg co-productions

Feature films Funan by Denis Do (Bac Cinema) and The Breadwinner by Nora Twomey (Melusine Productions) have been selected for the official competition.
The feature film The Swallows of Kabul by Zabou Breitman and Eléa Gobbé-Mévellec (Melusine Productions) has also been selected from among 8 international projects to take part in the WIP Feature (Work in Progress, a chance to experience the creative stages of a project in production).

Alexandre Espigares' first feature film Croc-Blanc (Bidibul Productions) has also been selected by the organisers for an open-air screening on Saturday 16 June 2018 to close the festival.

Last but not least, a ciné-concert dedicated to music and animated film will focus on the first feature film by Doghouse Films Pachamama directed by Juan Antin in co-production with France and Canada.

In parallel with the festival, the Marché international du film d'animation (MIFA) takes place from 12 to 15 June 2018: this is the not-to-be-missed event for professionals in the animation sector. The Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle has been present there since 2001, with a Luxembourg promotional stand that serves as an umbrella for some fifteen production companies, animation studios and service companies.

MIFA and FIFA offer a particularly varied programme. Check out all the information on www.annecy.org
