As in 2014 and 2015, RTL and the NAC, in collaboration with the Lëtzebuerger Filmfong and the Filmakademie, are offering a special programme for the festive season. Films Made in Luxembourg.

From 24 December to 7 January, RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg will be broadcasting Luxembourg productions every day: films, documentaries, archives and animated series for children. This year, the programme will be rounded off with a play and a concert.

The brand new testament made its mark in 2016, including a Golden Globe nomination and the award for Best Co-Production at the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis. Jaco van Dormael's dramatic comedy (Juliette Films), broadcast on Thursday 5 January, will be one of the highlights of the special programme on RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg.

Baby(a)lone by Donato Rotunno (Tarantula Luxembourg) and Mammejong by Jacques Molitor (Lucil Film) are two quality films aimed at an informed audience (-12), programmed respectively on 30 December and 6 January from 8.00pm.

The evening of 26 December will pay tribute to Luxembourg short films with a selection of recent films, including Et wor alles wéi ëmmer by Max Jacoby (Les Films Fauves), Serena by Eric Lamhène (Samsa Film) and Long Lost by Nadia Masri (Amour Fou Luxembourg).

Nostalgia will be the order of the day on 24 December with a re-run of the film "Klibberkleeschen", an AFO classic depicting Luxembourg's collective cultural events rooted in a national 'memory'.

The Luxembourg version of Two By Twobetter known in Luxembourg under the title "Ooops! Den Noah ass fort", by Fabrique d'Images, will be broadcast on 28 December to the delight of children. They will also be treated to the broadcast of the little masterpiece Wiplala by Samsa Film on 29 December at 8pm.

RTL's special schedule will be rounded off by a number of documentaries: Mos Stellarium by Karolina Markiewicz and Pascal Piron (Tarantula Luxembourg), the story of six young refugees who arrive in Luxembourg.

From 24 December to 7 January, RTL will once again feature the documentary series routwäissgroproduced by 'Kollektiv 13', a group of Luxembourg-based writer-directors. Fans of the genre will be able to watch all the episodes broadcast since January 2016.
