Gast Rollinger, a leading figure in Luxembourg culture, has passed away.

A talented poet, film-maker, teacher and cameraman, he has captured the soul of our country through his words and images.

Gast has collaborated on such landmark films as E Fall fir sech (1984), in which he worked on camera alongside Menn Bodson, or Déi zwéi vum Bierg (1985) and Vu Fräschen a Mouken (1986), co-directed with Menn Bodson and Marc Olinger.

Sa Creativity was also expressed in short films exploring local themes, including D'Meedche vu Garnech et Ellergronn (1989), which celebrated Luxembourg's nature and heritage.

We salute his memory and offer our sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those he inspired. His work and his unwavering commitment to culture will live on in our hearts and memories.
