Grimme-Preis 2019 : Désirée Nosbusch and the Bad Banks series honoured!
The Adolf-Grimme prize, better known as the "Grimme-Preis"is a prize awarded for television films in Germany. It has been awarded annually by the Adolf-Grimme Institute since 1964.
The 55th edition has just announced the names of the winners and the Luxembourg actress Désirée Nosbusch wins an award for his performance in Bad Banks (ZDF/ARTE). The 6-episode mini-series is winning more awards: after 13 prizes and 9 nominations to date, it can now add 5 Awards Grimme (script, direction, production, 2 female roles (Paul Beer and Désirée Nosbusch).
The awards ceremony will take place on 5 April at the theatre in Marl (Nordrhein-Westfalen) and will be broadcast on 3sat television from 22:25 and livestreamed on www.3sat.de from 19:10.
Thierry van Werveke was the last Luxembourg actor to win the Prix Aldolf-Grimme in 2008 for his performance in the film Eine andere Liga (ZDF/ARTE).
Announcing her award, Désirée Nosbusch said: "2010 habe ich den Grimme-Preis moderiert und durfte den ganz besonderen und unvergesslichen 'Marler-Spirit' kennen lernen. Dass ich, 9 Jahre später, als Preisträgerin für meine schauspielerische Arbeit in der Serie Bad Banks zurück kehren darf, erfüllt mich mit unendlicher Freude, ganz viel Glück und tiefer Dankbarkeit.
