The Journées Immersives 2025 (Immersive Days), organised by the Film Fund Luxembourg in partnership with the PHI Centre of Montréal, the Bureau Europe Créative MEDIA and Innovative Initiativesas part of the Immersive Pavilion from Luxembourg City Film Festivalwere a great success this year. The event attracted almost 150 participants, ranging from experts and artists to representatives of exhibition venues and students of digital arts and video games.

This two-day event, which took place on 4 and 5 March 2025 at the Cercle Cité and neimënsterThe conference brought together professionals from the immersive audiovisual sector to discuss and debate the major issues surrounding XR (extended reality). It provided an essential platform for exploring new trends and challenges in the sector, with the participation of international experts and creators from a wide range of backgrounds.

The days addressed key issues such as the conservation of XR works, opportunities for co-production and international funding, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on immersive creation. Among the highlights, particular attention was paid to the archiving of digital works, a major challenge for the future of immersive art. Projects in development, including several Luxembourg creations, were also highlighted.
This event marked an important milestone for the XR industry in Luxembourg and strengthened the links between local creators and international players. The Film Fund Luxembourg is delighted with this year's event, which contributed to the development of this dynamic and innovative sector.
