The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, taking place this year from 12 to 17 June, has included 7 Luxembourg co-productions in its official selection.

The feature film " Ethel & Ernest "by Roger Mainwood (Melusine Productions) is in Official Competition.

The feature film " Richard the Stork "by Toby Genkel and Reza Memari (Melusine Productions) has been selected out of competition.

On the TV series front, there are 2 projects in competition in the 'Television films' category: " Ernest & Célestine, The 'Blizzard' Collection "by Julien Chheng and Jean-Christophe Roger (Melusine Productions) and " Bible, the founding stories - 'Babel, the tale of totalitarian madness "by Sean McCormack (Fabrique d'Images).

There are also 2 feature-length films selected from 8 international projects to take part in the WIP Feature (Work in Progress): " The Breadwinner "by Nora Twomey (Melusine Productions) and " Zero Impunity "by Stéphane Hueber-Blies, Nicolas Blies and Denis Lambert (a_BAHN/Melusine Productions).

Last but not least, the feature film " Funny little beasts"by Antoon Krings and Arnaud Bouron (Bidibul Productions) will be shown during the "event screenings".

In parallel with the Festival, the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) takes place from 13 to 16 June: a must for professionals in the animation sector. The National Support Fund for Audiovisual Production has been present since 2001, with a Luxembourg promotional stand that serves as an umbrella for some fifteen production companies, animation studios and service companies.
