Le Petit Nicolas and Ernest & Célestine will represent Luxembourg at the 2023 César Awards

L'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Techniques has just announced the nominations for the 2023 Césars, which include 2 Luxembourg co-productions.
In the "Best Animated Film" category, the films nominated are :
Le petit Nicolas - What are we waiting for to be happy? co-produced by Lilian Eche and Christel Henon (Bidibul Productions) and directed by Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre, based on the work of René Goscinny and Jean-Jacques Sempé.
Ernest & Célestine: the trip to Charabia co-produced by Stéphan Roelants (Mélusine Productions) and directed by Julien Chheng and Jean-Christophe Roger.

The 48th César awards ceremony will be held on Friday 24 February 2023 on the Olympia stage and will be broadcast free-to-air on Canal+ at 9pm.
To date, Luxembourg has 19 nominations and 3 Césars - in 2013 (Ernest et Célestine - Mélusine Productions), in 2021 (Deux - Tarantula Luxembourg) and in 2022 (Le Sommet des Dieux - Mélusine Productions).
