Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis 2018: GUTLAND, best Luxembourg film
La 8e edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis was held on Saturday 22 September at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.
The ceremony - organised by Filmfong and d'Filmakademie - was attended by LL.AA.RR. the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister, Minister for Culture and Minister for Communications and the Media, and Guy Arendt, Secretary of State for Culture.
Filmfong director Guy Daleiden and Filmakademie president Claude Waringo are proud to present the winners from the votes cast by Academy members:
- Prize for the best Luxembourg feature-length fiction or animation film: "GUTLAND" by Govinda Van Maele - LES FILMS FAUVES
- Prize for the best feature-length co-production: "NOCES" by Stephan Streker - TARANTULA LUXEMBOURG
- Prize for the best animated feature in co-production: "THE BREADWINNER" by Nora Twomey - MELUSINE PRODUCTIONS
- Best Documentary: "LA SUPPLICATION" by Pol Cruchten - RED LION
- Best Fiction Short Film: "FILS" by Cyrus Neshvad - CYNEFILMS
- Prize for best "TV and new media" production: "BAD BANKS" by Christian Schwochow - IRIS PRODUCTIONS
- Prize for the best creative contribution in a feature film or documentary: Uli Simon for the costumes in "EGON SCHIELE".
- Prize for the best creative contribution in an animated feature: Equipe Animation STUDIO 352/MELUSINE PRODUCTIONS for the film THE BREADWINNER
- Best Performance: Vicky Krieps for her role in "GUTLAND".
