D'Filmakademie and the Film Fund have announced the nominees for the 2025 edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis.

From short films to documentaries, animation to immersive works, and projects by new talents, this ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the artistic effervescence that enriches and strengthens Luxembourg's audiovisual and cinematographic landscape.

For this 11ᵉ edition, 67 finalists are competing in 13 categories. Around 500 Filmakademie members are invited to vote for 12 of them to decide the winners. L'association luxembourgeoise de la presse cinématographique (SALC) will also be presenting a prize during the evening.

The category of Best immersive work is put to the vote by a specialist jury made up of : Anaïs Emery, General and Artistic Director of the Geneva International Film FestivalElie Levasseur, head of the Immersive section of the Cannes Festival and Philippe Rivière, Director of Digital at the Art Explora Foundation.

The 11ᵉ edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis will be held on 22 November 2025 at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. Directed by Fábio Godinho and presented by Emma Da Silva. This evening, under the banner of creation and new inspiration, will celebrate the vitality of Luxembourg cinema and audiovisual through its stories and collaborations, which are part of the present while looking to the future, both locally and internationally.

About the Filmpräis :

Since 2012, the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis has been organised jointly by the Filmakademie and the Film Fund Luxembourg.

It's an exceptional showcase for Luxembourg's cinematic talent, featuring works that have captivated audiences and critics alike over the last two years.

The aim of the Filmpräis is to reward the best contributions to Luxembourg cinema, in order to highlight quality works, encourage cinematographic creation, promote the development of the film industry in Luxembourg and draw the public's attention to Luxembourg productions.

The second round of voting by Filmakademie members will take place from 3 October to 9 November 2025 and the winners of this year's competition will be announced.
