Luxembourg and Canada reopen their incentive measure for co-development and co-production
The Film Fund Luxembourg and the Canada Media Fund today announced the reopening of the Canada-Luxembourg Incentive Measure for the co-development and co-production of audiovisual projects.
For the sixth year running, the incentive is supporting the co-development of television series (fiction and animation), animated feature films and digital media projects, as well as the co-production of digital media projects (augmented reality, virtual reality and transmedia projects using new technologies).
Starting from a budget of around €600,000, with each organisation providing half of this sum, the maximum contribution for each development project funded (television, animated feature or digital media) is around €65,000, and the maximum contribution for each digital media project at the production stage is around €320,000.
A committee made up of representatives from the 2 Funds will assess all eligible projects against a series of criteria, including cultural value, target audience, track record and feasibility.
All the formalities for Luxembourg applicant companies to submit a project for financing can be found at here
The deadline for applications is 22 October 2023. Decisions will be announced in December 2023.
