Luxembourg City Film Festival 2017: the 7th edition is launched
From 2 to 12 March 2017the Luxembourg City Film Festival For its 7th edition, the festival will be back with 11 days of festivities, including two weekends, in the halls of Luxembourg city centre, in its exhibition and meeting space at the Cercle Cité and in its headquarters under a big top on the Place de la Constitution, which celebrated its first success last year.
The festival will offer a varied programme of no fewer than 81 films, including exclusive premieres, special screenings, a top-level competition, cartes blanches, workshops and more, not forgetting the made in/with Luxembourg very rich this year with BARRAGE by Laura Schroeder (Red Lion), co-produced by Samsa Film ES WAR EINMAL IN DEUTSCHLAND... by Sam Garbarski and MAPPAMUNDI by Bady Minck (Amour Fou) and a series of previews: A REAL VERMEER (Tarantula co-production), DIE NACHT DER 1000 STUNDEN (co-produced by Amour Fou), ETHEL & ERNEST (co-production Melusine Prod.) ... Not forgetting the works of young audience RICHARD THE STORK (Melusine Prod.) and STORM (Iris Prod.). This year's short film evening will focus on the following works: 818 (Claude Lahr), What's left of you (Kevin Dresse), Chernobyl (Franco Dipietro), Wires (Cyrus Neshvad), On the Wire (Thierry Besseling, Loïc Tanson), The Past We Live In (Jérôme Weber).

Thanks to the support of the Film Fund Luxembourg and Digital Luxembourg, the festival will be hosting the " VIRTUAL REALITY PAVILION "The Pavilion will be presenting a number of militant cinematographic works never before seen in 360°. The Pavilion will feature a daring programme of narrative and aesthetic works focusing on commitment and action. The event aims to celebrate the creativity and boldness of a nascent industry set to revolutionise our relationship with images. During the festival, the pavilion will play host to a number of internationally renowned guests and industry professionals.
