The Virtual Reality Pavilion and the "VR to Go" service extended until 30 May 2021 at neimënster
Despite the reduced capacity, the virtual reality pavilion set up by the Film Fund Luxembourg and neimënster on 4 March was a great success. On the strength of this success, the organisers will continue to offer the public free access to the 13 films (engaging documentaries, animated stories and audiovisual shows) in the VR Pavilion set up on the neimënster site until 30 May 2021, always in accordance with an appropriate health protocol.
Alongside the Physical Pavilion, the new VR to GoThis year's event, which was open to the public, exceeded the organisers' expectations, attracting a large number of curious visitors and virtual reality enthusiasts. The principle is simple:
- Book a headset online with all the films shown in the Pavillon VR from a choice of two programmes.
- Get your headset back so you can enjoy VR at home.
They are easy to use, inexpensive and can be hired for 2 or 3 days (Tuesday - Thursday or Friday - Sunday). Whether at the Pavilion or on hire, all helmets are cleaned using an ultraviolet disinfection system.
The selection includes some of the most awarded 360° films of the genre - including 3 works co-produced with Luxembourg (Under the Skin by João Inada - Tarantula Luxembourg; Fucking human factor by Karolina Markiewicz and Pascal Piron - Don Pedro Productions; Ayahuasca by Jan Kounen - a_BAHN). The work BattleScarwinner of the Best Immersive Experience Award at LuxFilmFest in 2020, is also part of the programme.
