New fictional concepts for television - The die is cast ...
The Lëtzebuerger Film Fong (Film Fund Luxemburg) and RTL Lëtzebuerg had launched a call for fictional concepts/formats for development on 22 December 2015.
20 applications were submitted by the deadline of 15 March 2016.
The jury, made up of representatives from Film Fong and RTL, was delighted with the diversity of the projects submitted (very different genres and formats).
The jury decided to support 3 concepts with €10,000 each for further development:
- S.L.I.P. - Section Luxembourgeoise d'Intervention Paranormale, a fantasy comedy (6 episodes of 26') created by Fred Neuen and Tim Lecomte for RADAR.
- Am Bësch", a detective series (12 episodes of 25') created by Thierry Faber for Samsa Film.
- Zëmmer ze verlounen", a sitcom (12 episodes of 24') by a collective of 5 young independent Luxembourg directors, imagined and supervised by Marco Serafini for CALACH Films.
The decision on which project(s) will be supported for production will be made following a further evaluation towards the end of September 2016.
