New Virtual Reality initiatives and collaborations, including the XR3 virtual exhibition from 9 to 20 June 2021
Guy Daleiden, director of the Film Fund Luxembourg, presented the new initiatives and collaborations in the field of Virtual Reality at a press briefing on Friday 4 June.
From 9 to 20 June, the Film Fund Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Luxembourg City Film Festival and Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain, are presenting an original virtual event initiated by NewImages Festival, the festival of digital creation and virtual worlds in Paris, the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and Cannes XR.
This special event will take place in a virtual space, the Museum of other Realities "and will offer a selection of 13 works in virtual reality and XR (Extended Reality), including six world premieres and three works selected in the category ". Immersive "from Tribeca Film Festival 2021.
This international exhibition will be accessible in the four corners of the world thanks to a network of partner satellite venues (including Luxembourg), to offer the best of XR to all audiences.
Access to the exhibition and the 4 VR stations will be free of charge during normal opening hours at Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain, in compliance with current health regulations.

Guy Daleiden is also delighted that a VR pavilion will be set up as part of the 2021 edition of the "Alin&Art" cultural workshops organised by the Lycée Aline Mayrisch in Luxembourg, designed to give pupils a taste for artistic expression.
From 14 to 16 June, the Film Fund Luxembourg will be offering a dozen VR headsets so that secondary school pupils in all classes can discover the immersive works in the 2021 edition of the Virtual Reality Pavilion, presented in collaboration with Montreal's PHI Centre in Neimënster last March.
In addition, although the extension of the VR Pavilion 2021 ended on 30 May, a small area dedicated to the selection of the VR Pavilion will remain operational at neimënster, in the visitor reception area. Building on its success, the VR to Go formula will also remain available until the end of summer 2021.
