Press start: Here are the video game pre-production projects supported
On 11 May 2026, the Film Fund Luxembourg launched, for the third consecutive year, a call for projects for the pre-production of video games in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The aim of this call for projects is to culturally support an internationally growing sector and to develop intellectual property for video games initiated in Luxembourg.
From the 11 projects submitted by 11 Luxembourgish companies, 4 projects were selected following the decision meeting of 8 July 2026 by a jury composed of:
- Julien Villedieu, eco-system builder through his company Level Link Partners, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to video game companies and public decision-makers
- Ké Medley, a generalist technician, designer and programmer, specialising in lighting and 3D environments for universes
- Sébastien Tasch, in charge of gaming at Film Fund Luxembourg.
This call was exclusively for games in the pre-production phase (prototyping or vertical slice), intended for offline or online marketing, and designed as original creative works, developed by creative and technical talent with ties to Luxembourgish culture.
The projects supported for prototyping assistance are:
- «INNO's »Ascension" (£42,000)
- « Catchmaker » from Grand Duck Games (£50,000)
- « Volatile » by Velvet Flare (50,000 €)
The project supported for vertical slice aid is:
- « Barababor – Gold Rush » by Yaaargames (100,000 €)
