The Film Fund Luxembourg and the Canada Media Fund announce the reopening of the Luxemburg-Canada Incentive for the co-development and co-production of audiovisual projects.

To be eligible, projects must come from production companies that meet each organization's criteria. Projects supported at the development stage will be drama or animation series, animated feature films and digital media projects. The Incentive Measure will also fund digital media projects (including virtual or augmented reality, transmedia projects and new technologies) at the production stage.

The combined annual budget for the Incentive Measure is €600,000, with each of the parties contributing half, for a total investment of €1,200,000 over two years.

The maximum total combined contribution will be €65,000 for each of the television or digital media projects financed in development and €320,000 for each of the digital media projects financed in production. The contribution allocated by each funding body to each project will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Projects will be evaluated and chosen following a selection process by a committee made up of representatives from the 2 Funds based on various criteria, including the cultural value of the project and the target audience, the teams' track record and the viability of the project.

The two funding bodies have granted around €1.7 million to eight co-development and co-production projects over the first three years of the programme.
