At its last meeting of 2021, theEurimages,  The Cultural Fund of the Council of Europe has granted financial support for the co-production of 37 feature film projects for a total amount of € 9,141,000. Additional funding of €2,475,000 has been awarded to 8 Luxembourg co-productions which were previously supported by the Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle, namely :

  • Allah is not obliged - animation - director Zaven Najjar - co-producer Paul Thiltges Distributions (32,76%): € 470,000. A co-production between France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
  • Fox and Hare Save the Forest - animation - director Mascha Halberstad - co-producer Doghouse Films (26,13%): € 325,000. A co-production between the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • The Fragrant Hill - live - director Abderrahmane Sissako - co-producer Red Lion (29%): € 470,000. A co-production between France and Luxembourg.
  • The fourth wall (The Fourth Wall) - live - director David Oelhoffen - co-producer : Amour Fou Luxembourg (35,71%): € 360,000. A co-production between France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
  • Totem - live - director Sander Burger - co-producer Tarantula Luxembourg (36,58%): € 290,000. A co-production between the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany.
  • The Herd - live - director Milko Lazarov - co-producer Amour Fou Luxembourg (16,89%): € 240,000. A co-production between Bulgaria, Germany and Luxembourg.
  • Mother Mara - live - director Mirjana Karanovich - co-producer Paul Thiltges Distributions (23,90%): € 170,000. A co-production between Serbia, Luxembourg, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia.
  • Die Mittagsfrau (Blindness of the Heart) - live - director Barbara Albert - co-producer Iris Productions (20,71%): € 150,000. A co-production between Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

For the year 2021, 12 Luxembourg co-productions have benefited from Eurimages support for a total amount of € 3,850,000, bearing in mind that Luxembourg's annual contribution to the Eurimages Fund for the same year amounts to € 422,054.41. The next session will take place in March 2022.
