Le Film Fund Luxembourg and the Canada Media Fund today announced the reopening of the Canada-Luxembourg Incentive Measure for the co-development and co-production of audiovisual projects.

The programme supports the co-development of television projects (fiction and animation), animated feature films and digital media projects, as well as the co-production of digital media projects (AR/VR/transmedia projects and new technologies) by production companies established in both countries. New this year: projects that have already received funding from the Film Fund Luxembourg or the Canada Media Fund may apply for further funding, provided that the application does not concern the same activities or the same creative phase previously funded.

The programme budget for this year is +/- €530,000, with each Fund contributing half. The maximum contribution for each development project financed (television, animated feature film or digital media) is €60,000, while the maximum total contribution for each digital media project at the production stage is €330,000.

A committee made up of representatives from each Fund will assess all eligible projects against a series of criteria, including cultural value, target audience, past achievements and feasibility.

All the formalities for Luxembourg applicant companies to submit a project for financing can be found at here.

The deadline for applications is 3 December 2024. Decisions will be announced in January 2025.
