The first selections of the 75e edition of the Cannes Festival are announced and the film CORSAGE by Marie Kreutzer, a co-production Samsa Film (Bernard Michaux), will be one of the 15 feature films in the "Un Certain Regard" official selection. This selection is designed to showcase original films and the talents of tomorrow, and is considered to be the antechamber to the official competition.

After a blank year in 2020 and a 74e The Film Fund Luxembourg will be back in Cannes at its usual time, from 17 to 25 May 2022, with its pavilion in the International Village at the International Film Market. It will host around twenty companies and entities under this umbrella, including production companies and companies specialising in post-production, sound and new technologies, as well as the EAVE training programme, the Luxembourg City Film Festival and the Europe Creative - Media support programme.

The traditional Luxembourg Day will take place on Thursday 19 May 2022 in the presence of audiovisual and press professionals.

CORSAGE - feature film - coproduction Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, France

CORSAGE is a free (and modern) adaptation of a period in the life of the famous Austro-Hungarian empress Elisabeth, known as "Sissi", played by the internationally acclaimed Luxembourg actress Vicky Krieps. The cast also includes another Luxembourg actress: Jeanne Werner.

The film was shot between March and July 2021 in Luxembourg and Austria. The Luxembourg technical team is made up of : Alain Goniva and Carlo Thoss (sound engineers), Angelo Dos Santos and Nicolas Leroy (sound editors), Loïc Collignon (mixer), Nadia Masri (script editor), Brigitte Kerger-Santos (executive producer), Ambroise Gayet (location manager), Karoline Maes (production manager Luxembourg). Studios Philophon handled sound post-production.
