Luxembourg co-production "Mission Ulja Funk" selected for Berlinale 2021

The selection of films for the competition and the various sections of the 71^e Berlin International Film Festival is announced from today until next Thursday.

Ulja Funk Missiondirected by Barbara Kronenberg and co-produced in Luxembourg by Samsa Film (Bernard Michaux), is one of the first films to be selected in competition in the "Children" section. Generation KPlus ".

The film was shot over 21 days in Luxembourg at the end of 2019, with actor Luc Feit in one of the lead roles, and the participation of a number of Luxembourg technicians, including Christina Schaffer (head of set design), Paul Maas (picture editor), Helder Loureiro da Silva (head of lighting design) and André Dziezuk (composer of the original music).

Due to the health crisis, this year's Berlinale will be held in two parts. The competition and market will take place partly online in March, with public screenings later in June. An international jury will see the films in Berlin and award its prizes, while the European Film Market will take place entirely online from 1 June.^er to 5 March. The winning films will then be presented to the public from 9 to 20 June as part of a special event.
