TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) 2019: 5 Luxembourg co-productions in the official selection

Le Toronto International Film Festival to be held from 5 to 15 September, has included 5 Luxembourg co-productions in its official selection:

In the section " Discovery "the film Two of us (Two) by Filippo Meneghetti, a co-production of Tarantula Luxembourg with France and Belgium.
Anlexander Nanau's documentary " Collective "a co-production Samsa Film with Romania, has been shortlisted in the 'Innovation' section. Docs ".

The " Contempory World Cinema "selected 2 projects: the musical Red Fields (Mami)* by Karen Yedaya, a co-production Amour Fou Luxembourg with Israel and Germany; and Flatland* by Jenna Cato Bass, a co-production Deal Productions with South Africa and Germany.

Finally, the " Wavelengths "the film by Oliver Laxe Fire will come (O Que Arde)*, a co-production Tarantula Luxembourg with Spain and France.

Pm: TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) is one of the largest film festivals in the world and the largest market in North America. Over 300 films are screened there. Europeans use the festival as a launch pad for their films in North America, and Americans use it to test their productions with a view to the Oscars. This non-competitive festival does not award any prizes, just the top ones. It has existed since 1976 and is an event on a par with the major European festivals (Cannes, Venice and Berlin) for both audiences and professionals.
