Two feature films from Luxembourg, Wolfwalkers and Twowill be in the running to win, each in their own category, one of the most prestigious film and television awards in the United States: the Golden Globes! The prizes, awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will be awarded at the 78e ceremony Golden Globes, to be held on 28 February.

The animated feature Wolfwalkers (The Wolf People)directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart, was co-produced by Mélusine Productions (Stéphan Roelants) with Ireland and has been nominated in the " Best motion Picture - Animated ". The feature film Two of us)directed by Filippo Meneghetti, was co-produced by Tarantula Luxembourg (Donato Rotunno and Elise André) with France and Belgium, and has been nominated in the " Best Picture - Foreign Language " (representing France).

Wolfwalkers (The Wolf People)
Since its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2020, Wolfwalkers, adapted from an Irish fairy tale, has received critical acclaim and numerous international awards and nominations. Among many other awards, the film won Best Animated Feature at the New York and Los Angeles Film Critics Awards.

This is the 3e time that the Irish studio (Cartoon Saloon) and the Luxembourg studio have worked together on a co-production after Song of the Sea) and The Breadwinnerboth nominated for Oscars in 2015 and 2018.

The Luxembourg company accounted for two thirds of the animation of Wolfwalkers as well as part of the layout and all the film's colour sets. The studio also worked on the 3D modelling, colouring and texturing of the reference models.
Wolfwalkers involved the work of around 60 people in Luxembourg over a production period of more than 15 months. The vast majority of these were members of Studio 352's long-standing team, which over the past 24 years has produced a remarkable number of internationally acclaimed animated films.

The film can currently be seen in cinemas in Luxembourg (English and French versions) and is available on the Apple TV+ platform. A Luxembourg version is currently being dubbed and will be released later this year.

Deux (Two of us)
The Franco-Belgian-Luxembourg comedy-drama had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and won dozens of international awards, including Best First Film and Best Actress for Martine Chevalier and Barbara Sukowa, the film's two lead actresses, at the Lumières de la presse étrangère 2021.

The film, a tale of lesbian love, has been selected to represent France at the 2021 Oscars in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category..

Filming in Luxembourg took place in mid-October 2018 over a period of 20 days. Among the Luxembourg technicians and actors were Céline Bodson (chief sound operator), Angelo Dos Santos (chief sound editor), Vitalijus Kiselius (chief electrician), Magdalena Labuz (costumes), Katja Reinert (head of make-up), Laurent Wallerang (head stagehand) and actors Eugénie Anselin, Aude-Laurence Biver, Véronique Fauconnet, Denis Jousselin, Stéphane Robles, Gilles Soeder, Hervé Sogne and Jérôme Varanfrain.

The film was released in Luxembourg in February 2020 and is available on the new Luxembourg platform sooner.lu.
