Film Fund Luxembourg and Digital Lëtzebuerg, partners of the "Virtual Reality Pavilion", are delighted with the success of the immersive initiative launched as part of the Luxembourg City Film Festival 2017.

Since 1er March 2017, a unique space at the Casino - Forum d'art contemporain dedicated entirely to virtual reality saw more than 1,000 visitors, including several school classes, NGOs, journalists and political representatives, curious to discover the twelve films and 360-degree experiences selected by the Festival and the Luxembourg audiovisual production company a_Bahn.

The great success of the Pavilion testifies to the interest of the general public in new audiovisual technologies, and in particular in innovative content and expression, which has enabled people to discover a world of creativity and emotion that traditional cinema cannot generate in this form.

The organisers' decision to focus on the documentary format and to adopt a strong editorial line with an appropriate scenography was particularly appreciated by both the public and the partners.

In addition, the contribution of Myriam Achard, Director of Communications at the Phi Centre in Montreal, and Frédéric Josué, President of UNI-VR, as well as the events dedicated to virtual reality, provided valuable opportunities for Luxembourg audiovisual and creative industry professionals to forge important links with renowned experts, exchange ideas and promote their projects internationally.
