Winners of the 10th edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis
The 10th edition of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis was held on Saturday 11 November at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.
The ceremony, jointly organised by the Film Fund Luxembourg and the Filmakademie, was attended by LL.AA.RR. the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister, Minister for Communications and Media, Sam Tanson, Minister for Culture and Lydie Polfer, Mayor of Luxembourg City.
The director of the Film Fund, Guy Daleiden, and the president of the Filmakademie, Yann Tonnar, are pleased to present the winners of the Academy's votes:
Best original music: André Dziezuk for Icare
Prize for the best creative contribution in an animated work: Loïc Collignon (Sound) for My Love Affaire with Marriage
Prize for the best creative contribution in a work of fiction or documentary: Amandine Klee (Image) for Kommunioun
Best Actress: Vicky Krieps in Bodice
Best Performance by an Actor: Marc Limpach in Hinterland
Prize for best transmedia series or production : Filmreakter Quickies, a series directed by Eileen Byrne, Suzan Noesen, Max Jacoby, Pattrawan Sukmongkol, Larisa Faber, Kim Schneider, Nilton Martins, Frédérique Buck, Gintare Parulyte, Adolf El Assal, Catherine Dauphin, Godefroy Gordet, Govinda Van Maele, Nicolas Neuhold, Samuel Perez, Julie Schroell, Baptiste Ménage, Thierry Mousset and Nadia Masri; produced by Filmreakter asbl.
Prize for best short film : The red suitcasedirected by Cyrus Neshvad and produced by Cynefilms
Prize for the best co-produced animated feature : Where is Anne Frankdirected by Ari Folman and co-produced by Samsa Film
Prize for the best feature-length fiction or documentary co-production : Bodicedirected by Marie Kreutzer and co-produced by Samsa Film
Prize for the best feature-length documentary in Luxembourg : Michel Majerus - Next Stepdirected by Anne Schiltz and produced by Samsa Film
Prize for the best Luxembourg feature-length fiction or animation film : Kommunioundirected by Jacques Molitor and produced by Les Films Fauves
In addition to these prizes, awarded following 2 rounds of voting by the 446 members of the Filmakademie, a Filmpräis was awarded by a specialist jury of international professionals to the best XR work.
It is Missing Pictures by Clément Deneux, a Wild Fang Films co-production, which won this prize.
A special press prize, outside the Académie, was awarded to Les Intranquilles by Joachim Lafosse (Samsa Film) by the Association luxembourgeoise de la presse cinématographique (ALPC).
The ceremony was broadcast live on RTL.lu and filmprais.lu.
The Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis was created in 2003 to reward the best contributions to Luxembourg cinema, to showcase quality works, to encourage cinematographic creation, to promote the development of the film industry in Luxembourg and to draw the public's attention to Luxembourg productions.
