Xavier Bettel on the set of "Eng nei Zäit".
On Saturday 13 September 2014, Xavier Bettel visited the filming of "Eng nei Zäit" at Fonds-de-Gras. The visit took place in the presence of producer Claude Waringo of Samsa Film and Film Fong director Guy Daleiden. The Prime Minister and Minister for Communications and the Media spoke at length with director Christophe Wagner - who, after Doudege Wénkel, is now making his second feature film - about the filming process and the specifics of the production.
He was able to see for himself the scale of the shooting of this period film, which involved more than 150 statists for the two scenes alone shot at the Fonds-de-Gras. The minister took the opportunity to meet the film crew and talk to the many Luxembourg technicians and actors working on this project, which recounts a difficult period in our national history.
Xavier Bettel pointed out that the theme and the period in which the film is set are "all the more topical as we are currently commemorating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Luxembourg".
