Xavier Bettel to meet professionals from the audiovisual sector at the 76th Cannes Film Festival
The Prime Minister and Minister for Communications and the Media, Xavier Bettel, will be at Cannes from 19 to 21 May to meet professionals from the audiovisual production sector and take part in the traditional Luxembourg Day. LL.AA.RR. the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are also expected to attend the Luxembourg pavilion on Saturday 20 May.
To promote Luxembourg cinema at the world's largest international film market, the Film Fund Luxembourg will be present at Cannes from 16 to 24 May 2023 with its pavilion in the International Village. It will host around twenty companies and entities under this umbrella, including production companies and companies specialising in post-production, sound and new technologies, as well as the EAVE training programme, the Luxembourg City Film Festival and the Europe Creative - Media support programme.

The documentary " SHANGHAI YOUTH (SPRING) by Chinese director Wang Bing, a Les Films Fauves (Gilles Chanial) co-production with France, Hong Kong and the Netherlands, is an integral part of the festival's official competition.
Feature-length fiction film "THE DELINQUENTS by Argentine filmmaker Rodrigo Moreno, a Les Films Fauves (Gilles Chanial) co-production with Argentina, Chile and Brazil, has been selected in the 'Un certain regard' section, as has TERRESTRIAL VERSESa film by Ali Asgari and Alireza Khatami co-produced by Cynefilms (Cyrus Neshvad).
The fantastic feature film " CONANN " directed by French filmmaker Bertrand Mandico and produced by the Luxembourg company LES FILMS FAUVES (Gilles Chanial) will be screened at the "QUINZAINE DES CINEASTES". CONANN is a mainly Luxembourg co-production with Belgium and France.
Feature-length fiction film LOST COUNTRY directed by Vladimir Perišić and co-produced by the Luxembourg company RED LION (Jeanne Geiben and Vincent Quénault) has been selected for La Semaine de la Critique. It is a co-production between Luxembourg, France, Serbia and Croatia.
