Organised by the Film Fund Luxembourg, the 21e edition of the Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone (RCF) will be held in Luxembourg from 28 to 31 October 2025. The aim of the event is to encourage the co-production of French-language films.

Around twenty feature film projects - fiction, animation and documentary - will be selected and presented in the form of a video pitch to over a hundred industry professionals.

The Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone (RCF) is a key event for film professionals whose main activity involves production, distribution, financing or broadcasting - whether on a national or international scale. It is a valuable opportunity to meet many French-speaking producers from Europe, Canada, Haiti and French-speaking Africa, to forge strong professional links and to develop new co-production collaborations.

A rigorous selection of over twenty projects seeking financing and co-production will be presented in the form of video pitches, followed by individual meetings.

  • Individual appointments between project promoters and participants.
  • User-friendly networking sessions with professionals from the French-speaking film industry.
  • Presentation of support schemes French-speaking countries and their partner funds.
  • Masterclass with award-winning Mauritanian director Abderrahmane Sissako.
  • Conferences, panels and discussions with international experts on the development of asymmetrical co-productions and inclusiveness in co-production.
  • Visits to studios and filming locations in Luxembourg.

La 21e edition of the RCF will place particular emphasis on the development of asymmetrical co-productions on an international scale, exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with inclusive trans-regional projects.

Registration for the RCF is free.

Who can apply?  Any producer of a French-language feature-length fiction, animation or documentary project seeking financial backing or international co-production with the countries concerned may submit a project.

The call is open to French-language production companies based in Quebec, Canada, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Haiti and French-speaking African countries.

Priority will be given to projects that already have funding in their home territory.

Transport

All public transport in Luxembourg is free. We advise you to take the tramway, which also links the central station and the airport, making it easier to get to the various RCF sites. We recommend the mobile application Mobility to plan your routes. 

If you want to take a taxi, you can use Webtaxi to book a journey. Recently, Uber is also available in Luxembourg. 

To help you prepare for your visit, you will find below some transport options. Please give preference to train travel and car pooling.

  • From Paris to Luxembourg :  
  • From Brussels to Luxembourg : 

You can come by car or carpool from Brussels, in which case the journey will take around 3 hours, but you should also allow between 30 minutes and 1 hour for traffic jams at peak times (i.e. between 6am and 10am in the morning and between 5pm and 8pm in the evening).

  • Parking Sofitel Kirchberg / Mamma Shelter 11 for half a day and €21 for a full day
  • Place de l'Europe Open 24/7; pay car park (€1.60/hour and €20.40 for 12 hours)
  • Glazing Open 24/7; €1/hour Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Free outside these times.
  • Bouillon P+R Open 24/7 outdoors and from 6am to 10pm indoors. Free parking for 24 hours, then €10 for each additional day. Bus/tram link.

The other option is the train: 

  • From Liège to Luxembourg : 

From Liège, it takes around 2 hours to get to Luxembourg. As from Brussels, you need to take into account the morning and evening rush-hour traffic jams, which can extend the journey by 30 minutes to 1 hour.

At the heart of the RCF programme, an exceptional masterclass with director Abderrahmane Sissako will highlight his cinematic work, in particular his latest film Black Tea (2024), as well as the celebrated Timbuktu, which won a César award in 2014 and was nominated for an Oscar. With a career marked by trans-regional collaborations between Africa, Europe and Asia, Sissako will share his unique experience of international co-production and stories rooted in a plurality of territories.
