The steampunk fantasy world of ‘Klincus’ is at the height of an Industrial Revolution resembling our own turn of the century upheaval – but holds a bold mirror to the vital decisions we are faced with today. ‘Klincus’ is about the eternal clash between modernity and tradition – between the unstoppable force of the new and the immovable object of the old. On one hand, the city of Umghard – a modern triumph of technology, whose citizens enjoy all the benefits, comforts and luxuries that modern inventions and industrially generated power bring. On the other, the city of Frondosa – an unfathomably old dwelling place that exists as one with the forest, its inhabitants happily cohabiting with all the woodland creatures and plants. Between the two is Klincus.
