Fieber

Fieber tells the story of Franzi, a girl growing up in the 1960s in an old, mysterious house. While her mother attends to her tenderly, her father is taken ill by a disease common to former French foreign legionaries: a mixture of sadness, melancholy and malaria. In order to escape the suffocating narrowness of her childhood, Franzi draws back in a dream world, where she meets representations of people in photographs her father took in the 1930s. Parallelly, we accompany grown-up Franziska in 2012, as she begins her search for her lost half-sister in Novi Sad, who her father kept a secret all these years.
