The film was shot almost entirely in Luxembourg regrouping many local technicians such as Carlo Thiel (1er assistant camera), Patrick Müller (Stills), Etienne Braun et Béatrice Pettovitch (Stills), Katja Wolf (Casting Director), Pascal Charlier, Philippe Kohn (Head – Sound), Grégory Noël (1er Assistant Sound), Magdalena Labuz (Head – Costumes), Laëtitia Kelkermans (Ensemblière), Barbara Prati (Accessoires), Pia Dumont (Cutter Sound), …and many others..
THE DIRECTOR’S FORNIGHT (Quinzaine des réalisateurs" was created by the French Directors Guild in the wake of the events of May ’68, the Directors’ Fortnight seeks to aid filmmakers and contribute to their discovery by the critics and audiences alike. From its initial program in 1969, it cast its lot with the avant-garde (the glorious seventies), even as it created a breeding ground where the Cannes Festival would regularly find its prestigious auteurs.
Plot Summary: Illégal
Tania Zimina (39 years old), a woman with russian origins and her son Ivan (13 years old) arrived in Belgium eight years ago and have been living illegally since. They very quickly became integrated, but are still paperless. One day, after school, on their way home, Tania and Ivan are controlled by an immigration officer.
