7 wins for Luxembourg’s coproductions at the 3rd Magritte award ceremony for belgian films
The members of the André Delvaux Academy had cast their votes and the award ceremony took place on February 2nd at the Square in Brussels.
4 awards for À perdre la raison, directed by Joachim Lafosse and coproduced by Jani Thiltges for Samsa Film: best film, best director (Joachim Lafosse), best actress (Emilie Duquenne) and best editing (Sophie Vercruysse).
2 awards for Mobile Home, directed by François Pirot and coproduced by Donato Rotunno for Tarantula Luxembourg: most promising actress award (Anne-Pascale Clairembourg) and best original score (Coyote, Renaud Mayeur, François Petit and Michaël de Zanet).
1 award for Dead man talking, directed by Patrick Ridremont and coproduced by Lilian Eche for Bidibul Productions: best production design (Alina Santos).
Outside this event, Guy Daleiden, managing director of Film Fund Luxembourg and Claude Waringo, President of the recently founded Luxembourg Film Academy attended a meeting discussing the upcoming first award ceremony for francophone films (Trophées de la francophonie) which will take place in Dakar, Senegal on 29 June 2013. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the details of the award election modalities. Further on, 3 feature films and one short film from Luxembourg will be selected to take part in this first francophone award ceremony.
