WHITE FANG (CROC-BLANC) will make its world premiere at Sundance
17/01/2018 - 20/01/2018
Luxembourg filmmaker Alexandre Espigares, winner of an Oscar® for Best Animated Short Film in 2014 for Mr. Hublot, will reveal his feature film in the Kids section at the Sundance Film Festival (January 18 – 28, 2018) on Sunday January 21, 2018 (world premiere).
The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Film Institute, is the largest independent film festival in the United States. For the 2018 Festival, 100 feature-length films were selected, representing 29 countries and 47 first-time filmmakers, including 30 in competition. These films were selected from 13.4568 submissions including 3.901 feature-length films and 8.740 short films.
White Fang, inspired by the famous novel by Jack London, is a story about redemption or how a wolfhound caught in a spiral of violence, becomes, in spite of himself, a legend dreaded and feared to then return to his true nature guided by a couple of humans.
White Fang is a co-production between Bidibul Productions (LU), Superprod (FR) and Big Beach (USA).
The film won the Gan Foundation Award for Best Work in Progress at the Annecy Festival 2016.
Luxembourg premiere is on March 9, 2018 at the Philharmonie Luxembourg where it will be accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, conducted by one of its composers, Gast Waltzing, Grammy Award® Winner.
