Synopsis

Lucy and Luke are six years old and the best of friends.  They are always on the lookout for fun and can find excitement and adventure in almost anything. Their very active and vivid imaginations can turn ordinary events into fantastic escapades. Often accompanied by their pet Dog Tobias, they can find pleasure in almost anything around them.  Most of their adventures take place at home, in their large back garden, in the park or at the beach.  These places are the stimulus for their imaginative play, where they will turn the seemingly ordinary into something special. In each episode, we follow them from an everyday situation into an imaginary adventure. Lucy is more naturally outgoing and the real risk taker when it comes to big decisions.  Luke tends to be a little more cautious, more likely to think things through and worry about the consequences. However,  he is often impulsive in everyday play without even realizing it. Luke and Lucy are both ‘happy go lucky’ explorers, ready to try anything. They both have the gift of invention and their childlike curiosity often entangles them in mischief unknowingly. They also both enjoy practical jokes and love playing them on each other and their babysitter Katie and her boyfriend Tom. Lucy can be prone to hot headedness, but can often be suggestible too and will often let her doll make her decisions for her when she is struggling to think straight. (This can drive Luke nuts especially if it goes against what he wants to do) .Luke can be a little naïve at times and is prone to bouts of clumsiness.  He also has a short attention span and is easily distracted (quite often by food –especially  ice-cream) and his overactive imagination.  Luke often tries to be the voice of reason if he thinks Lucy’s ideas are too ‘out there!’  Lucy rarely takes his advice and anyway Luke doesn’t usually need that much coaxing or persuasion to play along.
