2 Luxembourg coproductions nominated at the European Film Awards 2022

Great news for the Luxembourg animation film sector. 2 coproductions have been nominated in this “European Animated Feature Film” category at the European Film Awards 2022.

“Le Petit Nicolas - Qu'est-ce qu’on attend pour être heureux?” was co-produced by Lilian Eche and Christel Henon (Bidibul Productions) and directed by Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre after the work of René Goscinny and Jean-Jacques Sempé. The film is a co-production between France and Luxembourg and the first animated feature of the adventures of “Le Petit Nicolas” where Jean-Jacques Sempé's line comes to life thanks to the magic of 2D hand-drawn animation.

“My Love Affair with Marriage” directed by Signe Baumane, is a coproduction between Luxembourg (Antevita Films), Latvia and USA.

Luxembourg producer Raoul Nadalet worked for several months with his sound team - Loïc Collignon (mixer) and Pierre Vedovato (sound designer) - on this film with high quality creative and musical content, in close collaboration with the New York director to create a unique sound of very high level.

Feature and documentary nominations will be revealed on November 8^th, 2022 before the ceremony on December 10^th 2022 in Reykjavík.
