Alexandre ESPIGARES

Alexandre Espigares is a director and animator from Luxembourg with an international career spanning 24 years and 4 continents. Over the years his assignments have led him to Paris, Brussels, Singapore, Sydney, Montreal, Munich and Frankfurt where he currently lives.

In 2000, he graduated from the animation department at the Lycée Technique des Arts et Métiers in Luxembourg and went on to pursue an international career as 3D animator. His animation credits include the animated series Star Wars – The Clone Wars, the feature films Happy Feet 2 and Iron Man 3 and cinematics for the video games Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Darksiders III.

In 2014 he won the Academy Award^® for best animated short film with Mr Hublot which he co-directed.

In 2018 his animated feature film White Fang, an adaptation of Jack London’s classic novel, was released in cinemas. The film was selected at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for a European FIlm Award that same year.
